The Ambassador’s Seal

Imagine an ambassador sent to represent his king in a foreign land. He carries official documents sealed with the king’s authority. If the ambassador behaves dishonourably—lying, cheating, or living carelessly—the foreign nation will doubt the authenticity of the king’s message. The seal itself is intact, but the ambassador’s conduct makes the king appear weak or corrupt. In the same way, we are ambassadors of Christ (2Cor.5:20). The gospel is pure and powerful, but if our lives contradict it, people question its truth. Our character is the “living seal” that validates the message. When we live with integrity, patience, and righteousness, the world sees that the gospel is not only preached but embodied.

Paul on Trial: False Accusations vs. His True Character

Image
Acts 24:5 (KJV) — "For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:" Paul stood before Roman authorities, falsely accused by the Jews. Three serious charges were brought against him: 1️⃣ "A pestilent fellow" – They painted Paul as a troublemaker, but Scripture reveals him as a tireless worker for the Gospel (Acts 20:24). His "pestilence" was not rebellion, but a relentless passion for truth. 2️⃣ "A mover of sedition" – They claimed he stirred rebellion among Jews. Yet, Paul preached peace, urging believers to submit to authorities (Romans 13:1) and to live godly lives under grace (Titus 2:11-12). 3️⃣ "A ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes" – They sought to undermine Paul’s leadership in the Body of Christ, but he was no heretic. He was entrusted with the revelation of the mystery (Ephesians 3:8-9) and stood firm on sound doc...

The Cross is both the Love and the Wrath of God

REACTION: You misrepresent the Lord. Your illustration of the Lord dangling a sinner over hell is not the nature of our Lord. REPLY: My post was an allegory. Your reference to Isa.42 is a beautiful prophecy of the meekness of Christ in His earthly ministry. Meekness is one part of God’s character, but God is not only love and meekness. He is also just, and righteous. God will sooner throw us in hell than defile His righteousness. Yet, He does not because of the cross of His Son. See Rom 3:25-26; Rom 4:5. Through Jesus, God is in the unique position to justify the ungodly, Rom 3:26. God can remain just and righteous yet justify ungodly people! Why? Because of the cross of Christ. However, as much as God reveals his love, He also reveals His hatred and wrath towards unrighteousness and ungodliness. Just read Romans 1. Thus, we cannot only rely on God's meekness and love, because His righteous wrath still remains over us. The only thing that saves us from God’s wrath is the cross wo...
