God’s entire redemption plan was determined long before the world was made. God knows the end from the beginning as we read in Isaiah 46:10. However, it is interesting how we can distinguish our grace doctrine from other dispensations based on what was prophesied versus what was kept secret. God revealed relevant parts of the plan systematically and slowly through dispensations. The majority of the plan to restore the earth was revealed through the prophets and unto Israel. Israel will be used to bring earth back in subjection under Christ in the Millennial Kingdom. The rest of the plan was kept secret by God and revealed in the perfect time to our apostle, Paul, who wrote the remaining details of God’s plan to restore the heavens under Christ through the agency of the Body of Christ. In the dispensation of prophecy, God showed Himself to Israel by mighty miracles. This dispensation is earthly as its end is to redeem an earthly people to restore the earth,  thus God showed Himself by mighty physical works. Up until Paul, God did signs and wonders by His prophets and apostles so that Israel could see the hand of God and get saved. But Israel did not believe in their Messiah, so God put them aside, and through Paul, He turned to the Gentiles under a completely new dispensation, the dispensation of mystery. In this dispensation of mystery, Rom.16:25-26, God operates under different stipulations; not by mighty works, but by faith through His written Word and in the heart of man,  2Cor.5:7. The Bible’s first verse says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Gen 1:1). God needed angels and mankind to carry out His plans in both realms. However, when Lucifer/Satan polluted the heavens and Adam corrupted the earth with sin, God devised a two-fold plan to restore both. While much of the Bible focuses on God's creation of the nation Israel as His earthly people, His plan for the heavenly places remained a secret until the ministry of the Apostle Paul. Through Paul's teachings, we learn that God is forming the Church, known as the Body of Christ, to fulfill His will in heaven, Eph 3:1-11. God already had the nation Israel’s believing remnant as His people, but that was just part of His will. Why is God forming the Church the Body of Christ? QUESTION: When we die, what will we do in heaven? ANSWER: The Bible does not provide exact details about what we will do, but it does mention the Judgment Seat of Christ and the rewards we will receive.  In the heavenly kingdom, there are hierarchies of power, Col_1:16, like an earthly government. As the Body of Christ, our position and power in this kingdom will be according to our knowledge of Paul's mystery doctrine, Rom_2:16. Some will rule over domains, while others will carry out the orders of those in higher positions. In unity we will serve Christ and bring honour to Him by fulfilling His will and desires. While we don't know much about this time, we can be certain that it will be beyond our imagination, 1Co_2:9, we will live in perfection, and be in the presence of our Saviour. MARANATHA!
