The Law is not the problem; it is holy, just, and good. Its divine design is not to impart righteousness or produce holy living, but to act as a mirror that exposes the true nature of sin. Before the commandment came to Paul’s conscience, sin lay dormant and unrecognised. But when the Law said, "Thou shalt not covet," sin seized the opportunity.
