Romans 14 (Part 4): Learn the Clearest Practical Way to Walk in the Spirit

Part 4 of 4 • ⏱️ 2-Min Read Passage:   Romans 14:19-23 Scripture Focus: "And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin." (Rom.14:23) Today's Lesson The final section of Romans 14 emphasizes the pursuit of peace and mutual edification among believers. While all things are indeed pure under grace, it becomes evil for a man to eat if his action causes stumbling or violates his own conscience. The apostle Paul instructs believers to keep their personal convictions and faith between themselves and God, pronouncing blessed is the man who does not condemn himself in the things which he approves. The critical doctrinal principle established here is the foundation of faith governing practice. If a believer doubts whether a certain personal action is permissible under grace, yet proceeds anyway because others are doing it, he acts out of doubt rather than conviction. Settled in Truth: Anchored by Every Word

"Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it." — Ps.119:140 "I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way." — Ps.119:128 "Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever." — Ps.119:160 In a world filled with changing opinions and shifting standard practices, where can a believer find solid ground? The Psalmist points us straight to the answer: God's word. It is not merely a collection of good advice—it is completely pure, refined, and completely without flaw. From the very first phrase in Genesis to the final page of Revelation, every statement stands as absolute truth. When we value His word, we do not pick and choose what fits our preferences. We hold every precept to be entirely right. This total confidence changes how we walk each day. When Christ prayed for us, He asked the Father to sanctify us through truth, confirming that His word is truth. K...

The difference between TESTAMENT and COVENANT

Our faithful King James never lets us down! EVERY 'word' is pure. The difference between TESTAMENT and COVENANT : A testament refers to a legal document that outlines a person’s wishes AFTER THEIR DEATH. Testaments specifically address post-death matters. As the Body of Christ, we have no covenant agreements with God in this life. His grace is sufficient for us. In the 'next' life, however, we come into every spiritual blessing in Christ and an inheritance too great to comprehend. A covenant refers to a binding agreement between two parties. It typically involves mutual commitments, promises, obligations, and rituals which involve promises DURING LIFE, though in cases can also extend into the eternal. For example, the old Mosaic law covenant applied to Israel during their life. A new covenant is necessary for the Millennial Kingdom. Once again, the trusty KJV has it spot on correct. 🙌 ______________ Join my WhatsApp channel to receive these quick Bible lessons on your ...
