Does God Still Speak Today?

Many people wonder why God no longer speaks through visible signs and wonders like He did in the Bible. Has God gone silent? Has He withdrawn from the world? The Scriptures actually explain this clearly. God did reveal Himself through mighty miracles during the prophetic dispensation with Israel (Ex.34:10). But when Israel rejected their Messiah, God paused that program and revealed a new dispensation through Paul — the dispensation of the mystery (Rom.16:25-26). Today, God is not working through outward signs. He is working through His written Word and in the heart of those who believe (2Cor.5:7). This is a time of faith, not sight . God hasn’t stopped speaking. He speaks through Scripture — and through the inner work of His Spirit as His Word takes root in us. When this dispensation ends, God will again reveal Himself openly in power during the tribulation and the Millennial Kingdom. But for now, our calling is simple: Believe His Word. Grow in understanding. Walk by faith...

Seven Basic Bible Facts Every Person Should Know and Believe (Fact #6)

FACT NO. 6 —That SIGNS belong to the Nation of Israel and its religion: “For the JEWS REQUIRE A SIGN, and the Gentiles seek after wisdom” (1Cor.1:22). Speaking in tongues is a SIGN: “Wherefore TONGUES are for a SIGN, not to them that believe but to them that believe not…” (1Cor.14:22). In Jesus’ day, those who sought after signs were called an evil and adulterous generation (Matt.12:39). The eight miracles of the Gospel of John are properly called SIGNS, which included the rising of Lazarus from the dead; and in the commission of Mark.16:15-18, water baptism is associated with SIGNS. This is proved in the book of Acts because everywhere water baptism is mentioned a SIGN is mentioned in the immediate context. This present age is a signless age. We have been blessed with all SPIRITUAL blessings in the heavenlies in Christ (Eph.1:3). This is where the emphasis lies for the Christian. More FACTS to follow... Prayer and Provision compared between the Kingdom and Gace Dispensations

Image
Between the Kingdom and Grace programs, provision works differently when you study and compare the two. In the Kingdom program the Lord told His disciples they can ask for anything (for ex: Matt7:7-8, Matt.18:19, Matt.21:22) and it will be given them. This is actually a command that will be more relevant in the Millennial Kingdom, when the law is written upon their hearts according to the New Covenant (Jer.31:31-34; Ezek.36:24-28). Nevertheless, even when Peter, and the other 11 prayed, their prayers were answered and the dead rose, the sick were healed, and necessities were provided. Today in this grace age, God, in His wisdom and purpose, can work miracles today, but it is not the primary focus. We live by faith today. Paul prayed many times for help, needs and relief, but he did not get it, 2Cor.12:7-10. Today, we can pray all kinds of prayers and supplications, but our faith is in His grace and not in favourable answers for provision, comforts, and necessities. Whether God provides...
