"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified." (Act.20:32). What is "the word of his grace"? It is the precise divine curriculum spanning from Romans to 2 Thessalonians, designed to mature us from spiritual infancy to full readiness in Christ.  This message is so vital because it is our ultimate preparation for the life to come. It operates not through rigid religious rules, but through a willing reducing of self to deeply learn the ways of Christ through His love. As these spiritual words work in our hearts and minds, we are conformed to His image.  This internal work of faith is what determines our future inheritance. We are not living for the temporary pleasures of the here and now—now is actually a time of sacrifice. Instead, we are living for eternal life. Our inheritance is in Christ, BUT…. the above scripture also tells us that Jesus Himself has an inheritance --which is US (ie: 'in the saints'). This should make you understand the context of the judgement seat of Christ, and the importance of having gold, silver, and precious stones, to offer Christ in that day. You are of His inheritance. When we know this, it's not just a matter of getting saved anymore! We should increase in value in order to increase His inheritance before the Father. WOW!!!  Let’s understand then that we ought not to be satisfied in just being a nominal Christian. We ought to press on in the doctrine of Christ and let it build up knowledge and wisdom of the doctrine within us, forming Christ in us, which are the riches of truth and glory, that we might be of value to the inheritance of our Lord Jesus Christ.
