The Treasure in Earthen Vessels
2Cor.4:7 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” The life of Saul, the apostle Paul, reveals that even the greatest examples of faith were not immune to fear. We often wait until we feel qualified before we serve, but a vessel is simply a container; its value is found in what it holds. Offering yourself as you are means coming empty—handing over your doubts and flaws so God can fill you with His substance. When we are emptied of self-reliance, we are filled with the faith of the Son of God (Gal.2:20).
