The Power of Godliness

Image
As grace believers, our lives should be separate from the world-system, yet today, godliness seems unfashionable. Increasingly, religious leaders suggest that to engage the world, we must integrate ourselves into it and partake in its activities to get close to the lost. However, believers cannot truly influence the world by blending in. Such conformity is opposed to God's will, as stated in Romans 12:2: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, ..." True godliness involves a deliberate separation from worldly influences, which stands out and can profoundly impact those we aim to reach. It embodies spiritual strength, sacrifice, and yes, even persecution for Christ's sake. This concept is echoed in 2 Timothy 3:12: "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." This verse serves as a reminder and a challenge to those who exhibit only the appearance of godliness, lacking its true po...

Remember the former, rejoice in the future

Image
When we look at the horrific death of Christ, and the fact that the Bible says His death is essential for our salvation, then we can only conclude that our condition is one of extreme and inescapable despair, disability and destitution – to the extent that we ourselves could do nothing to rectify our existing situation. The extreme measure that God took to save us is an indication of our extreme need to be saved. Friends, as a committed believer, one would be in the Word often, reading about the message of the gospel of Christ many times. One would be surrounded by friends, talking of the things of Christ often. We worship and pray to God in thanks, daily, for all that Christ has done. My encouragement to you today is to NEVER forget how destitute we were when the Lord reached down to save us, and ALWAYS rejoice in thanks for the extreme measures He took to redeem us, and clean us up, and give us an unimaginable hope that lies ahead of us in glory. The IMPORTANCE of interpreting scripture using Progressive Dispensational Revelation

Image
The following is a simple post, but the message is crucial. SOCIAL MEDIA COMMENT: In Lev 5:11, the Word reveals either animal offering or grain offering was acceptable to God. If the poor could not afford a lamb, they could offer two turtledoves or young pigeons; if they could not afford the birds, they could offer fine flour with no oil nor frankincense as a sin offering. This tells me that God rejected Cain’s produce offering because Cain offered without faith. Vital is the matter of faith, not a bloody animal nor fruit from the ground. ANSWER: It is vitally important to interpret scripture taking ‘progressive revelation’ into account. Cain was not under the Mosaic Law, so it can't be applied to him. For Cain, a blood offering was the bas...
