Romans 1 (Part 3): The Progressive Abandonment of Humanity

Because men exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped the creature more than the Creator, God gave them up. This judicial abandonment is stated three times in the passage, demonstrating a progressive downward decline. God allows rebellious humanity to experience the full, unchecked fruit of their own chosen paths, yielding dishonourable passions and unnatural desires that contradict His divine order.
