(Rom.14:12) Today's Lesson The doctrine of grace establishes that no believer lives or dies to himself, for our existence is entirely anchored in the ownership and lordship of Jesus Christ. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Christ acquired absolute authority over both the dead and the living. Because every believer belongs directly to Him, personal spiritual authority between saints is completely excluded. The apostle Paul highlights the foolishness of judging or despising a fellow brother, reminding us that every member of the body of Christ will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. This future assessment is not to determine eternal salvation, which is securely settled through faith in the finished cross-work of Christ, but rather to give an individual account of our service, motives, and walk under grace.
